Jarrod R. Daniel, MD, FACS is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who has built a successful private surgical practice and medical spa. Dr. Daniel has years of experience in private equity investing and innovation. His surgical facility was one of the primary testing sites for Lumenix’s advanced artificial intelligence monitoring system (AIMS). As Medical Director he oversees the coordination between AIMS and potential healthcare sector clients. Preventing hospital acquired infections is of paramount interest and implementing AIMS to combat this system wide problem is one of his passions.
Dr. Daniel has travelled extensively around the world providing medical aid and education. He sits on the McGill University United States Regional Advisory Board and the McGill University NCAA Competition Fundraising Board. He has started multiple scholarships including a McGill Department of Science award presented to students who excel in artificial intelligence Innovation.
As part of the Daniel Family Foundation he has supported various initiatives including the creation of the University of Calgary Department of Psychosocial Oncology Chair position, support of the James Peebles Chair in quantum physics at the Perimeter Institute and the Light Up The World project that installs solar power systems in underprivileged parts of the world.
Dr. Daniel played hockey in the Western Hockey League then at McGIll University during his pre-medical studies. He then went on to complete his General Surgery training at the Mayo Clinic and his Plastic Surgery Fellowship at Emory University. He has showcased his talents by performing live surgeries at international conferences. In addition to delivering lectures on a multitude of topics, he has contributed chapters to several books in the field of plastic surgery.
